Officially revealing the all-new 2024 Multistrada V2 at the Intermot exhibition in Cologne, Germany, Ducati It follows shortly after the Italian superbike brand formally unveiled the new-generation Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 on which the new Multistrada is built. Over the departing model, the latest edition of the adventure tourer boasts significant improvements.
Available in two colour options, Ducati Red and Storm Green, the new Multistrada V2 offers two variants: basic V2 and S. Although the bike is scheduled for worldwide sale beginning in January 2025, Ducati has not yet announced its availability in India.
2025: Ducati Multistrada V2
The 2025 Multistrada V2 has performed and dropped about eighteen kilograms in weight. Only 54.9 kg weights the new 890cc motor, replacing the 937cc L-twin engine. Currently running at 10,750 rpm and with a peak torque of 92.1 Nm at 8,250 rpm, this motor outputs 113.4 horsepower. This results in a 3.9 Nm torque change and a 2.4 kW power surge. A 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and bidirectional quick-shifter is matched to this power plant.
Multistrada V2s (R) And Multistrada V2 (L)
Ducati’s reported change in output is attributed to a new variable intake valve timing. To provide greater grunt lower down the rev range, the Multistrada V2 also now boasts a larger flywheel and changed gear ratios. It gains more petrol in the tank and a longer sixth gear for improved cruising performance.
Furthermore, this new engine now rests on a rebuilt steel trellis subframe and a new aluminium monocoque frame with a double-sided swingarm built from cast aluminium. Compared to the steel trellis frame provided in the departing model, this new chassis helps lower weight and increase the bike’s cornering stability.
Although the top-spec model features more complex electronic semi-active Skyhook Suspension, delivering 170 mm of front and rear wheel travel, the new engine and platform are suspended on a classic fully-adjustable Marzocchi suspension arrangement. The adventure tourer rides on 120/70-R19 front and 170/60-R19 tyres wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 rubber.
Twin 320mm front discs and a 265mm rear disc held Brembo Monobloc callipers handle anchorage chores. Two-channel ABS with a switchable rear ABS guarantees a safety net. Five riding modes: sport, touring, urban, enduro, and wet; a 5-inch TFT instrument panel; Ducati Brake Light EVO; and a USB charging outlet.
