2026 Second Generation Ducati Desert X with new V2 engine

Ducati Desert X

Ducati introduces the all-new Ducati DesertX, the second-generation model for 2026. This adventure bike features major updates. It delivers strong performance on and off the road.

Powerful New Engine

Ducati fits the Ducati DesertX with a new-generation 890cc V-twin engine. The liquid-cooled unit produces around 110bhp. It delivers 92Nm of peak torque. Riders enjoy strong low-end response for tough terrain.

Advanced Braking System

Braking duties handle tough conditions well. The Ducati DesertX uses twin discs at the front. Brembo M4.32 monobloc calipers pair with new 305mm discs. A disc brake controls the rear.

Wheels and Tires

The bike rolls on a 21-inch tubeless spoked front wheel. An 18-inch rear wheel completes the setup. Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres provide excellent grip on mixed surfaces.

Electronics and Rider Aids

Ducati equips the Ducati DesertX with a 6-axis IMU. It manages cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control. Riders select from six riding modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, Enduro, and Rally. A bi-directional quickshifter enhances gear changes. Cruise control adds comfort on long rides. All data appears on a new 5-inch TFT display.

Chassis and Ergonomics

An 18-litre fuel tank sits slimmer and lighter. Seat height measures 880mm. Riders lower it to 840mm for better accessibility. The Ducati DesertX claims a 209kg wet weight without fuel. This lighter design improves handling.

Availability

European deliveries of the Ducati DesertX begin in April 2026. The second-generation model promises enhanced adventure capability for enthusiasts and professionals alike.
