Buying a car is always special, and in my case, deciding on the Kia Sonet turned out to be one of my best decisions ever. The compact SUV good looks, an amazing driving experience, high-end features, and decent performance.

The moment I saw Kia Sonet in the showroom, it took all my attention. The bold tiger-nose grille, sleek LED DRLs, and muscular stance make it stern yet elegant. The GT Line trim I chose has red accents on the body, sporty alloy wheels, and a glossy black grille, which accentuates that premium feel.
Performance – A Joy to Drive
I chose the 1.5L diesel automatic version, and at that price, the performance is striking. Smooth torque delivery, refined engine, and a 6-speed automatic gearbox mean that city driving is a breeze. On highways, the car glides effortlessly, overtaking is no means a chore, and decent mileage of around 19-21 km/l makes long outings an enjoyable experience.
The suspension setup Is well-balanced and absorbs most road humps with ease. The steering remains light within the city yet confident at higher speeds.
Interior & Comfort – Premium Feel
A step inside creates an immediate sense of luxury. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bose speakers, ventilated front seats, and sunroof give it a luxurious touch against a backdrop of exotic perforated leather. The chocolatey soft leather-wrapped steering, red stitching on the seats, and ambient lighting elevate the already sporty ambiance.
The rear seat space Is decent, comfortably accommodating three passengers with generous knee and headroom. With the air purifier and rear AC vents, every passenger receives a pleasing experience.
Technology & Safety – Feature Loaded
Of all the reasons for my choice of the Sonet, the long features list holds absolute top billing. UVO-connected car tech, a wireless phone charger, a digital instrument cluster, and multiple drive modes all exist to ease the life of the driver.
Well done regarding safety, Kia. Six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic-stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, and rear parking camera are included with the Sonet. I definitely feel at ease while driving.
Final Verdict – The Perfect Compact SUV
After months of driving the Kia Sonet, I can say it is the best compact SUV in its segment. It is packed with everything stylish, performance-oriented, and comfortable with high-end features—safety being the most important one. Weekend getaways or city commuting, the Sonet comfortably does it all. IF you are looking for a tiny SUV full of features and character guns, the Sonet is a must-see!
