I was attracted the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 because I knew it was more a bike than an emotion. It had an aggressive design, its fairing was aerodynamic, and it had the twin projector headlamps, giving it all sporty looks and instantly attracted me just looking at it. It was a dream owning this machine, and I still remember that day I brought it home.
The first ride was nothing less than thrilling. The 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine roared to life, and with every twist of the throttle, the adrenalin was within me. The bike’s power delivery was quite smooth and the 6-speed gearbox made highway cruising effortless. I remember that first ride on the open roads-speed, wind, and a sense of freedom, leaving me loving the RS 200 even more.
Handling, in my opinion, is probably one of the best features of the RS 200. The bike feels really balanced and stable in cornering and sudden braking. The dual channel adds to the confidence, especially in the long rides and in the monsoons. I have taken it to many places with my friends and always made them stare. Town roads or uneven patches- the RS 200 operates much like a sports bike should.
What I love the most is this attention that the bike attracts. Wherever I go it draws the eyes on me and some people even come forward to ask how it behaves on the road. The muscular looks, racing graphics, and that aggressive stance tend to set it apart from the crowd.
It has also been hassle-free maintaining the bike. Regular servicing gives it free-flowing operation, and mileage is not that bad for a sports bike either. Even after so many years, the sound of the exhaust still gives me chills.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Is not a bike for me but a companion to many memorable trips. It has given me speed thrills and long rides with memories I will always cherish. One of the finest riding experiences I have ever had.
