
Aprilia recently teased their upcoming super bike, the Aprilia RS457, on social media. The teaser was released with the caption “RS 457 will make a grand stop, with an announcement worthy of India Bike Week’s 10th anniversary.” This is an about the upcoming launch on December 8, at the India Bike Week (IBW) 2023 event. The bike will be manufactured at Aprilia’s Baramati plant, making it the first Aprilia motorcycle to be made in India.
Aprilia RS457 design and features
The front end is sleek and comprises twin LED headlamps. On the other hand, the full fairing includes sharp lines and edges, while the rear end is upswept and comes with a split-seat setup. Aprilia is expected to offer swanky colour options with the new RS457- one of which will be white and red with red wheels.
The Aprilia RS 457 is powered a 457cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Offering 47bhp and mated to a six-speed gearbox, the motor comes with a 270-degree crank. Aprilia is also likely to offer an optional quickshifter for clutchless upshifts.
The Aprilia RS457 comes fitted with features like ride--wire throttle, three-level traction control, ride modes and ABS too. It even gets a five-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity as standard. As for cycle parts, the Aprilia RS457 is kitted with adjutsable USD forks and a monoshock. It comes with discs at both ends, dual-channel ABS and 17-inch wheels shod with TVS Protorq Extreme tyres.
