Toyota sends off GR Supra with the A90 Final Edition

The GR Super A90 Final Edition is produced in just three hundred pieces.
Toyota will shortly close its doors on the current GR Supra model. The Japanese manufacturer has revealed the most extreme sports car version before the vehicle goes out of manufacturing. Track-oriented changes, including a reworked suspension, improved brakes, carbon fibre aero, and a more potent engin,e abound on the GR Supra Final Editon.

First, about the performance improvements, the 3.0-liter turbo-petrol inline-six-cylinder version of the GR Supra A90 Final Edition comes with. Comparatively to the normal edition, the BMW-sourced engine generates 429 horsepower and 570 Nm of peak torque, a rise of 94 hp and 70 Nm. Still, the standard equipment is a six-speed manual.

Improved engine management, a low-back-pressure catalyst, and a revised air intake produce higher power and torque statistics. Toyota has fitted the A90 final edition with a baffle plate, improved engine cooling, a redesigned active differential on the rear axle, and an Akrapovic titanium muffler, as the final edition was built with track use in mind.

Track targeted hardware improvements

Toyota changed the chassis as well. Improvements include a fresh, adjustable KW suspension system. Along with other suspension parts, the front and rear stabilizers have been reinforced, raising the camber. Wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, the new 19-inch rims in the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear have a lightweight construction.

Apart from the hardware and power enhancements, the GR Supra A90 final edition features several aero and cosmetic tweaks. These cover a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a hood vent, an aggressive splitter, and exhaust pipe afterburner effects. Among cabin enhancements are carbon fiber Recaro racing seats. While the other interior parts have black Alcantara upholstery, the seatbelts, central console, driver’s side door panel, and driver’s seat are red.
