Tata Motors Starts Electric Buses For Staff Transportation At Pantnagar Plant

Joined staff, Mr. Asim Kumar Mukhopadhyay, CEO and MD, TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Limited and Mr. Mahesh Suguru, Plant Head – Pantnagar, Tata Motors, marked off the electric buses at the plant.

At its Pantnagar facility in Uttarakhand, Tata Motors, India’s top commercial vehicle maker, has started a fleet of electric buses for staff mobility. Modern technology and advanced battery systems abound in the zero-emission, totally indigenously built buses. Under management Tata Motors’ subsidiary TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Limited (TSCMSL), Tata Ultra 9m electric buses will meet staff transportation needs at the plant.

With about 1,100 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, this e-bus service is meant to give over 5,000 staff safe, comfortable, and environmentally friendly commuting choices, therefore lowering their carbon footprint. Using electricity produced a 16MW solar power plant will charge the buses, and guarantee a totally green operation.
