
With a successful launch of Eicher Pro X, at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) now inaugurates the manufacture and delivery of the first batch of this truck at the Bhopal plant. The facility also featured a final assembly line which entirely was operated women, and is designed to meet 4.0 industry standards.
A combined effort of Volvo Group and Eicher Motors has led to a range which is designed according to logistic functions which looks out for fuel consumption, short deliveries and an efficient cargo space.
Martin Lundsted, CEO and President of Volvo Group, who was present at the inauguration, noted India’s advanced strategies to gain sustainable logistics and public transport. He commemorates the event stating- “Each time I visit India, I am truly amazed the rapid pace of development, including the transformation towards sustainable and modern logistics and public transport. It is an honor to inaugurate this state-of-the-art facility and deliver the first batch of Eicher Pro X trucks to customers who are redefining logistics in India.”
Eicher Motors Chairman and VECV Board Member Siddhartha Lal, who were also present in the event, reinforced the company’s aim of modern techniques for commercial vehicle manufacturing in India.
With their continuous work towards leadership and commitments, VECV, which was established as a venture between Sweden’s Volvo Group and India’s Eicher Motors, has now become one of the significant companies that has made a place for India’s commercial vehicle industry.
