2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid launched as India’s first 150cc Hybrid Motorcycle at Rs 1.45 Lakh

Yamaha Motor India has unveiled the FZ-S Fi Hybrid, the country’s first hybrid motorcycle in the 150cc category. Priced at Rs 1,44,800, this innovative bike is an upgraded version of the FZS FI V4, with a premium of Rs 14,000 over the Deluxe variant.

The FZ-S Fi Hybrid is powered a 149cc Blue Core engine, which is OBD-2B compliant and supports E20 fuel. The single-cylinder, 4-stroke, two-valve, air-cooled engine produces 12.4PS of power at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. The bike features a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, ensuring smooth and efficient gear shifts.

In terms of suspension, the FZ-S Fi Hybrid boasts a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled 282mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes, with single-channel ABS for added safety. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, shod with 100-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tyres.

The FZ-S Fi Hybrid has a seat height of 790mm and a ground clearance of 165mm, making it accessible to riders of various heights. The fuel tank capacity is 13 litres, and the kerb weight is 138kg.

One of the standout features of the FZ-S Fi Hybrid is its Smart Motor Generator (SMG) system, which provides battery-assisted acceleration. The bike also features a Start and Stop System (SSS) that automatically shuts off the engine and restarts it.

In terms of electronics, the FZ-S Fi Hybrid boasts a 4.2-inch colour TFT screen with smartphone connectivity via the Y-Connect app. The bike also features turn--turn navigation powered Google Maps, ensuring riders stay on course.

Ergonomic enhancements include a new handlebar position designed to reduce fatigue, as well as an airplane-style fuel cap that stays connected while refuelling.

The Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid is available in two colour options: Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Blue. With its innovative hybrid technology, sleek design, and feature-packed electronics, the FZ-S Fi Hybrid is poised to revolutionize the Indian motorcycle market.
