
Honda has launched the Rebel 500 cruiser in India at a price of Rs. 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike is available exclusively in three cities – Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru – through Honda’s BigWing dealerships. The Rebel 500 features a distinctive blacked-out theme and is available in a single Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic paint scheme, giving it a sleek and rugged look.
The Rebel 500 is powered a 471cc, parallel twin engine that produces 46bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 43.3Nm at 6000rpm. The bike comes with a six-speed gearbox, allowing riders to smoothly shift gears and enjoy a responsive riding experience. The low seat height of just 690mm makes it easy to ride and maneuver, while the LCD instrument cluster provides riders with essential information.
In terms of suspension and braking, the Rebel 500 features telescopic front forks and Showa twin shock absorbers at the back, ensuring a smooth ride. The braking duties are handled a 296mm disc up front and a 240mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as a standard feature for enhanced safety. The bike is equipped with 130/90-16 front and 150/80-16 rear alloy wheels, adding to its rugged and stylish appearance.
