BMW Motorrad has launched the BMW M 1000 R in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 33.50 lakh. The high-performance naked motorcycle brings race-derived technology from BMW’s superbike lineup. It is designed for riders who want track-level performance combined with advanced electronics and aggressive street styling.
Colour Options
The BMW M 1000 R is available in three colour schemes. The base variant is offered in Light White/M Motorsport. The White Aluminium Metallic Matte colour is available with both the base variant and the M Competition Package. Meanwhile, Blackstorm Metallic/M Motorsport is offered exclusively with the M Competition Package. These colours highlight the motorcycle’s sporty design and strong motorsport identity.
Aerodynamics and Design
The BMW M 1000 R features several design elements inspired by BMW’s RR superbike models. The motorcycle gets a distinctive dual-flow LED headlight, which improves illumination while enhancing the aggressive front-end design.The bike also features M Winglets that generate additional aerodynamic downforce. These winglets improve front-end stability, especially at higher speeds. Buyers who choose the M Competition Package also receive lightweight M Carbon wheels, which help reduce weight and improve handling and agility.

It can also reach a top speed of around 280 km/h, making it one of the fastest naked motorcycles available in the market.The engine features BMW ShiftCam technology, which improves torque and pulling power at lower and medium speeds. The BMW M 1000 R is equipped with an updated Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) system derived from BMW’s RR superbikes. These include Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race Pro 1-3 modes. BMW has equipped the BMW M 1000 R with an M Quick Action Throttle. This system reduces the rotation angle required to reach full throttle.
