Aprilia India has confirmed through its social media channels that it will officially launch the new RS 457 on 8 December, 2023. The prices of the sport bike will be announced at the upcoming India Bike Week event in Goa.

This will be the Italian brand’s first made-in-India motorcycle which should help in pricing it competitively. Owing to the local production, it’s expected to be pegged close to Rs. 4 lakh which is much less than its closest rival, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 which costs Rs. 5.24 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). Interestingly, Aprilia has already released the prices of the RS 457 in the USA and Canada where it goes up to $6,899 (Rs. 5.74 lakh) and $7,799 (Rs. 4.71 lakh), respectively.

The RS 457 takes design inspiration from its elder siblings, the RS 660 and RSV4. The new bike looks stunning and has great. The new RS 457 has a 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin unit that produces 47bhp and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Underpinned a twin-spar aluminium frame, it rides on 17-inch alloys that are suspended USD forks and a monoshock. On the feature front, it’s a decent package with full LED lighting, TFT console, traction control, and a quick shifter.

The pre-bookings for the motorcycle are yet to commence and the details about its deliveries aren’t known yet. It will be available only in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, at least in the initial phase.
