Aprilia India has listed its middleweight off-road motorcycle, the Tuareg 660, on its official website. The bike is being offered in three paint schemes with the asking price of – Rs. 18.85 lakh for the Atreides Black and Canyon Sand, and Rs. 19.16 lakh for Evocative Dakar Podium (all ex-showroom, Delhi).
Though the prices have been listed on Aprilia’s official website for India, the brand claims these might change during the official launch of the motorcycle, which is yet to happen.
The Tuareg 660 is a thoroughbred off-road-oriented motorcycle with a slim and tall build. The bike’s fascia comprises twin triangle-shaped LED headlights topped a transparent visor, and the bodywork comprises a wide fuel tank which contributes to the majority of Tuareg’s visual mass.
Powering the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is a 659cc parallel-twin engine that makes 80bhp and 79Nm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and this setup is nestled in a tubular frame. It is suspended 43mm upside-down front forks and a progressive linkage rear monoshock. The Tuareg 660’s braking hardware includes twin discs at the front and a single rear disc with dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on spoke wheels wrapped in knob tyres.
Aprilia has also equipped the Tuareg 660 with quite a few rider aids including four ride modes with two customisable modes, switchable ABS, traction control, cruise control, engine map and engine brake control and a five-inch TFT.
