Aston Martin has introduced the DBX S, its newest model, boasting a peak power output of 727hp. This makes it the most powerful non-electrified production SUV, surpassing even the Ferrari Purosangue. The DBX S is powered a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 900Nm of torque.
Performance Enhancements
The DBX S accelerates from 0-62mph in 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 193mph. The extra power reduces the 0-124mph time 0.3 seconds. The vehicle features a new exhaust system, a 4% quicker steering ratio, and a reduced turning circle. The variable all-wheel drive system and 9-speed wet-clutch automatic gearbox are carried over from the DBX707.
Weight Reduction
The DBX S has shed 47 kg, resulting in a kerb weight of 2,198kg. This weight reduction is achieved through optional 23-inch magnesium wheels (saving 19 kg) and a carbon fibre roof (saving 18 kg).
Design Updates
The DBX S features a new black grille design, a new front splitter, reworked diffuser, and new side sills. The twin exhaust tips are now vertically stacked at the rear. Inside, the vehicle boasts a bespoke S design with a herringbone pattern on the seats and headlining (with the carbon fibre roof). Alcantara upholstery is standard, while semi-aniline leather and red seatbelts are optional.
Audio System
The DBX S offers an optional 23-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, providing an immersive audio experience. With its impressive performance capabilities and sleek design, the Aston Martin DBX S is set to make a significant impact in the luxury SUV market.
