
Benelli’s quarter-litre bike, the Leoncino 250, has been spotted testing, hinting at its imminent return to the Indian market. Previously, the bike was sold in India at a price of Rs 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom) before being discontinued.
Engine and Performance
The updated Leoncino 250 retains its 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, albeit with minor updates to comply with the latest OBD2B emission norms. This engine produces 25bhp and 21Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
Suspension and Brakes
The Leoncino 250 features a USD fork in the front and a mono-shock at the rear, ensuring a smooth ride. The bike is equipped with alloy wheels and disc brakes at both ends, providing reliable stopping power.
Return to India
The spotted test bike suggests that Benelli is preparing to re-launch the Leoncino 250 in India. With its updated engine and features, the bike is expected to appeal to enthusiasts in the quarter-litre segment.
