BYD’s 4th EV is off the Indian market
This automobile has made its appearance in India with a stylish look and is incorporated with advanced features to take the driving experience to a next level. This is said to be next-in-line of the 4 previous models of BYD – Seal, Atto 3 and eMax7. It comes in two variants – Premium and Performance.
Let’s look into its astonishing features:-
Engine and performance
The coupe can be geared upto a range of 567 km range on MIDC cycle for the Premium variant and 542 km for the Performance variant. BYD sports a 82.5kWh LFP Blade battery pack.
The Premium variant comes in rear-wheel drive configuration producing 313hp and 380Nm, while the Performance variant gets an all-wheel drive configuration with 530hp and 690Nm. The electric motor of the Sealion7 is claimed to be the fastest electric motor. Sprint time of Premium is 6.7s while for the Performance is 4.5 s.
Exteriors
It comes in 4 elegant color options- Shark Grey, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, and Cosmos Black.
Undoubtedly as the name suggests, it has a classic and elegant look of a sea lion from the front including its headlights that resemble the eyes of a sea lion. Its angular and edgy styling gives it an aggressive look. The Sealion7 is 4830 mm long, 1925 mm wide and 1620 mm tall with a long wheelbase of 2930 mm and a 500l boot.
Interiors
The interiors are equipped with a 15.9-inch rotatable infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Safety measures
It is equipped with 11 airbags, forward collision avoidance and a driver fatigue monitoring system.
The Sealion7 is confirmed to be unveiled in India on February 17th. Deliveries are said to commence from March 7th, 2025.
