Citroën India has restyled this well-known C3-X by bringing in a lot of modernity, with its updated rendition now standing at a very accessible ₹5.25 lakh (ex-showroom). With this launch, Citroën envisioned gaining more prominence in the compact SUV segment by upping the value through comfort, technology, and safety.
New Convenience Features
The updated C3X brings with it 15 new features for convenience and ease. Among the key highlights are Proxi-Sense™ Passive Entry and Push-Start (PEPS) that allow locking and unlocking as soon as the key is in proximity. In addition, cruise control coupled with a speed limiter is now offered in automatic trims, a first in the class, for increased driving enjoyment.
Enhanced Visibility and Technology
On the visibility front, an optional HALO 360° camera system auto-dimming internal rearview mirror, full LED lighting, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto further sweeten the experience. Complementary routing is the provision of rear USB Type-C and the dashboard wrapped with leatherette material in higher trims for a premium feel.
Comfort and Safety Upgrades
Comfort is not compromised here- rugged build with Advanced Comfort suspension, generous interiors, and an air conditioner for the hot weather. Then there is the safety factor: six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, TPMS, hill-hold assist, etc.
Powertrain Options
The powertrains offer: NA 1.2L with a 5-Speed Manual, and the turbocharged 1.2 with either Manual or Automatic Transmission. Both engines feel very smooth and perfectly suit the urban and highway drives.
Bookings and Additional Options
Bookings of the new C3X have commenced, with deliveries expected to commence in the month of September. Buyers can also opt for an aftermarket CNG kit, thus making this refreshed C3X a very well-rounded choice in its segment.
