CollarEV Moon

CollarEV has introduced a new electric two-wheeler called Moon. The company designed the vehicle specifically for last-mile delivery and commercial fleet operations in India. The model targets small businesses, fleet operators, and individual delivery workers who need an efficient and affordable electric vehicle.

Pricing and positioning

The Moon is priced between ₹79,999 and ₹89,999. This pricing places it in the mid-range electric two-wheeler segment. The vehicle aims to offer an affordable option for delivery services and logistics companies that rely on two-wheelers for daily operations.

Battery and range

The Moon uses a 51.2V, 45Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 2.3 kWh. According to the company, the vehicle delivers a claimed range of up to 135 km on a single charge. The battery can charge from 0 to 80 percent in around two hours. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours. CollarEV states that the battery pack is rated for more than 1,000 charging cycles, which supports long-term commercial use.

Motor performance and payload capacity

The vehicle runs on a BLDC hub motor with 1,500W continuous power and a peak output of 2,200W. The motor generates 95 Nm of torque at the wheel. This torque allows the Moon to carry a payload of up to 150 kg. This makes it suitable for delivery applications that involve heavier packages and cargo. The Moon has a top speed of 50 km/h, which aligns with India’s low-speed electric vehicle regulations.

Design, braking and chassis

The electric two-wheeler features 12-inch wheels and dual disc brakes. These components aim to provide better stability and braking performance during daily delivery runs.CollarEV has built the Moon on a fully metal chassis and body. The design focuses on durability and long-term reliability, which are essential for commercial use.

Connectivity and features

The Moon comes with a TFT display that includes integrated telematics. This system enables real-time asset tracking and monitoring, which can help fleet operators manage vehicles efficiently. The electric two-wheeler also supports keyless start and stop functionality, adding convenience for delivery riders who frequently stop and restart their vehicles during operations.
