Pricing and Variants
Dyed into the colors of adventure, the new Ducati Multistrada V4 and the more luxurious V4 S models are finally here. The entry-level multimillion Two lack 22.98 (ex-showroom) onwards, while the V4 S is somewhat dearer at 28.64 lakh. The spoked-wheel version of the V4 S gains that extra bit of attitude, roughly pricing it at 30.18 lakh.
Engine and Efficiency
The two keep the power o the marvelous 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine; this time around, however, an extension of cylinder deactivation was introduced. By way of shutting off the rear cylinders while cruising or in low-load conditions, Ducati quotations about 6% increase in fuel efficiency over the earlier model.
Technology and Safety Enhancements
The V4 S, by way of the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), gets electronic enhancements to improve ABS and Traction Control and that very entertaining Wheelie Control. Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Blind Spot Detection are also there for added peace of mind.
Comfort and Riding Modes
The V4 also does not skimp on comfort: it comes with the very best kind of semi-active Skyhook EVO suspension that has self-leveling and automatic lowering to make those little foot-down moments easier at speeds below 10 km/h. When Wet mode is activated, the bike will respond by staying on the down-low, and there are tweaks to the Enduro setting to ensure this one rides smoother on rougher roads.
Design and Features
The aesthetic updates help streamline the front end, which takes some design cues from the Panigale V4, while the LED cornering lights look much cleaner, and the contrast in the body panels is heightened. The bigger 6.5-inch TFT display now allows easier access to navigation, and more legroom has been given to the pillion.
