Escorts Kubota Limited launched the Powertrac Shaurya tractor series on Tuesday, marking the first time the company has introduced a dedicated paddy and wetland-focused range under its Powertrac brand.
A Dedicated ‘South Special’ Paddy Tractor
The Powertrac Shaurya series is designed as a ‘South Special’ range. It focuses on farmers who work in waterlogged and muddy fields. The new lineup includes five variants. These models fall in the 39 HP to 52 HP category.The company aims the series at key paddy-growing states. These include Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

The Shaurya series comes with cassette-type sealing across key components. This feature helps prevent water and mud from entering vital parts. It improves durability in wetland operations.The tractors offer a tight turning radius of 3.1 metres. Farmers can easily use them in small and medium-sized fields.
Transmission and Performance
The series features a fully constant mesh gearbox. It offers 8 forward and 2 reverse gears. This setup ensures smooth gear shifts and better control in slushy fields.
Strong Hydraulics and PTO Options
The tractors come with Sensi-1 hydraulic lift. The lift capacity ranges from 1,600 kg to 2,000 kg, depending on the variant. This allows farmers to handle different paddy implements with ease.An independent PTO lever with double clutch supports better implement control. The series also offers dual PTO options. Farmers can choose between 540/1000 rpm and reverse PTO. These options support a wide range of paddy farming applications.
