The KTM Duke 390 was Kiran Mandape’s very own youth dream: a symbol of freedom, adrenaline, and innumerable memories on two wheels. As soon as he would start the bike, the throaty growl of the engine would remind him of countless adventures that it had bestowed upon him.
First impression & purchase experience
Kiran remembers well the day he brought the Duke 390 home. Its aggressive looks with sharp LED headlamps and muscular design had instantly captured his attention. But really, it was the raw power that made him fall in love with this beauty. The 373cc engine just had to burst in power; and because the bike was extremely light, it felt like riding a rocket, either through the streets of the city or the highways.
Riding experience & features
Rides on weekends became a norm: drifting in early mornings, solo rides, or fun-loving bunch of friends riding down to hill stations. Sharp and predictable in handling, riding round every corner gave him confidence, whereas TFT display and ride-by-wire throttle made him feel like he was riding something that is very much from the future.
Favourite memory
One of those memories is riding down through the Ghats, the wind rushing past and the Duke roaring away beneath him. This was one such moment when Kiran felt alive, with nothing at all separating him from the open road and his thoughts.
Time has passed, and life has moved on, but the memories made with the KTM Duke 390 will forever remain inscribed in Kiran’s heart. It was more than a bike-it was a partner in thrill, in escape, and in a chapter that Kiran dearly cherishes.
