KTM has announced that it will be discontinuing the Duke 125 and RC 125 motorcycles in India. The decision comes as a result of intense competition in the 125cc segment, particularly from Yamaha’s R15 and MT-15, as well as Bajaj’s newly launched Pulsar N125 and Xtreme 125.
Launched in 2018, the Duke 125 was followed the RC 125 a few years later. Despite their premium features and performance, both motorcycles struggled to gain traction in the market due to their higher price point compared to their competitors.
As a result, KTM has decided not to provide the OBD2B update for these motorcycles, and they will no longer be available for purchase after April 1.
The Duke 125 and RC 125 are powered a 124.7cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, producing 14.34 bhp and 12 Nm of torque. Both motorcycles feature premium components, including USD forks, disc brakes at both ends, and switchable ABS. Despite their impressive specifications, the Duke 125 and RC 125 ultimately failed to make a significant impact in the Indian market.
