
Montra Electric, while being the Murugappa Group, launched the SUPER CARGO, a new electric three-wheeler for cargo delivery, in Bengaluru, on June 11, 2025. A terrific name in last-mile logistic movement, this EV is expected to become a panacea for small-time businesses and fleet operators.
The 13.8-kWh lithium-ion battery powers the SUPER CARGO, which has an ARAI-certified range of more than 200 km, and, in real-world conditions, it would drift to 170 km on a single charge. The electric motor offers 11 kW of peak power and 70 Nm of torque to climb slopes of around 23%, making it ideal for suburban and urban delivery routesPriced from ₹4.37 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru, post-subsidy), it is offered in three variants based on cargo space: 170 cu.ft, 140 cu.ft, and a tray-deck model;
It features a strong Boron steel chassis with the longest wheelbase in the segment, front disc brakes, hill-hold, reverse assist, and driver seat belt for safety and durability.
The cabin has been designed with regenerative braking; multiple drive modes; and a 5-year or 1.75 Lakh KM battery warranty. A fast charge at 15 minutes, on the other hand, is provided through partnership with Exponent Energy, which is a massive benefit for commercial applications.
Montra aims to augment operational fluidity and sustainability in the surging delivery arena. SUPER CARGO is intended for providing a strong, dependable, and environment-friendly alternative for both large fleets and independent entrepreneurs.
