Special Anniversary Launch
Renault has today launched a special 10th Anniversary Edition of the Kwid in India, priced at ₹5.14 lakhs (manual) and ₹5.63 lakhs (AMT), both prices ex-showroom, pan-India. With a limit of 500 units, it is a collectible turn to an already popular entry-level car in India.
Stylish Exterior Updates
Conceived on the Techno trim, the Anniversary Edition brings in cosmetic and styling updates to make it alluring. Dual-tone colour options are on offer Fiery Red with Black Roof and Shadow Grey with Black Roof. Exterior updates include black Flex Wheels: special “Anniversary” decals on the doors and the C-pillar, and a yellow inset into the grille for an aggressive sporty look.
Enhanced Interior Touches
Inside, Renault has added highlights such as custom upholstery on the seats, bearing yellow highlights, with contrast stitching on the leatherette steering wheel; trim around the infotainment screen and doors also gets certain decorative elements, as do the scuff plates and puddle lamps to give that bit of extra spirit.
Proven Performance
Things are amidst familiarites when it gets down to being mechanical: underneath lies the 1.0-litre petrol SCe engine, tailed by the choice between a 5-speed manual and Easy-R AMT transmission. The Anniversary Edition ensures that performance, drivability, and efficiencies experienced in the standard Kwid will all enjoy further glory.
Revamped Kwid Lineup
Renault has revamped the Kwid lineup recently in tandem with the limited edition: new names for new variants (Evolution, Techno, Climber), price revisions, and safety upgrades with the addition of three-point seatbelts at all seating positions and six airbags on the Climber trim. The price thus discounts all relevance and competes for its base model course from about ₹4.29 lakh onwards.
