Taiwan-based electric two-wheeler brand Gogoro will introduce a new electric scooter in India. This new scooter might be the recently launched CrossOver adventure-style scooter.
Gogoro calls the CrossOver the ultimate two-wheeler SUV as it is made for on-road and some off-road usage. The design of the new electric scooter is utilitarian and rugged with large body panels, huge floorboard, and a split-type roomy seat. Interestingly, the pillion seat can be folded to double up as a rider backrest and make room for carrying luggage. The company has made a provision to carry luggage at the front as well, on top of the quirky-looking headlamp.
The new electric scooter has a 7.5kW motor which is powered a battery pack of capacity 1.6kWh. It is claimed to deliver a range of 100km on full charge. The cycle parts are inclined towards making it more versatile. For instance, wrapping around its 12-inch alloy wheels are Maxxis dual-purpose tyres with a suspension setup that seems to boast long travel for taking on rough terrain.
The details about the pricing and availability of the Gogoro CrossOver aren’t known yet. The company had been running a pilot program for testing the feasibility of its battery-swapping network in India since November last year. Now, on 12 December, the Taiwanese brand will announce the expansion of its battery-swapping network in our country.
