TVS Expands Raider Lineup with Dual-Disc Variant

The offering of a new dual-disc variant of the Raider 125 by TVS Motor gives some extra braking functionality and features to one of the sportiest commuter bikes around. The LCD-display model is priced at ₹93,800 (ex-showroom), while the TFT one sells for ₹95,600.

Dual Discs and Improved Tyres for Better Control

The big highlight is the addition of a rear disc brake, making it the first Raider with dual discs and single-channel ABS. The tyre setup is now upgraded to 90/90-17 front and 110/80-17 rear tyres for better grip and stability.

Added Features: Boost Mode and GTT Technology

Along with the braking upgrade, the new Raider variant also gets Boost Mode, a feature that gives a torque boost when needed for quick overtakes. It retains GTT (Glide Through Technology) for easier low-speed handling. The model has two display options: LCD (SXC DD) and TFT (TFT DD); riders, therefore, have a choice between feature sets and looks.

Same Trusted Engine with Improved Handling

Mechanically, the Raider continues to roll out the same 124.8-cc single-cylinder engine with its existing performance specs; therefore, power and torque, together with fuel efficiency, remain as before. The dual-disc variant would focus on the upgrade of braking and handling without fiddling around with what endeared the Raider in the first place.

A Sporty Commuter with Safer Performance

In short, with its new dual-disc option, the Raider promises to deliver real and tangible upgrades; in sportive fashion, the dual-disc variant markedly improves braking while retaining all the things the Raider 125 stands for: sporty styling, practical for commuting, and just a bit of smartness for the rider who wants to ride a little bit safer and a little bit more responsive
