Ultraviolette Launches Tesseract Electric Scooter, Priced at Rs 1.20 Lakh

Ultraviolette has entered the Indian electric vehicle market with the launch of its first electric scooter, the Tesseract. Priced at Rs 1.20 lakh for the first 10,000 vehicles, the Tesseract is set to disrupt the electric scooter segment. After the initial 10,000 units, the price will increase to Rs 1.45 lakh.

Deliveries of the Tesseract e-scooter are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026. The scooter is powered a 20.1bhp electric motor and boasts a certified range of up to 261km on a single charge.

One of the standout features of the Tesseract is its modular battery design, offering three battery options – 3.5kWh, 5kWh, and 6kWh. This allows customers to choose the battery configuration that best suits their needs.

In terms of design and features, the Tesseract e-scooter is equipped with:

  • LED headlamps with multiple colour options
  • Windscreen
  • 7.0-inch TFT screen with navigation
  • 34L capacity under-seat storage
  • 14-inch wheels

Performance-wise, the Tesseract is impressive, accelerating from 0-60 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 125 kmph. The battery can be charged to 80% in less than an hour, making it an ideal option for daily commutes. A notable feature of the Tesseract is its advanced safety technology, including radar-based Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) – a first for any scooter in India.

Ultraviolette is offering a standard warranty of 3 years or 75,000 km coverage, providing customers with peace of mind. With its impressive range, performance, and features, the Ultraviolette Tesseract is poised to make a significant impact in the Indian electric scooter market.
