New spy shots of Volkswagen upcoming SUV Tera revealed as a a test model on the rough dirt roads of Argentina. The Volkswagen Tera was recently spotted on the famous Argentine highway named Ruta 40.

VW Argentina’s General Manager, Martin Massimino, stated that Tera will launch in Argentina 2025, probably sometime after it’s launched in Brazil. The expected price of the Tera will be between Polo Track and more affordable versions of T-Cross.

The new SUV Tera will be a game changer for Volkswagen’s lineup in India after the exit of Polo. The new SUV will be based on the MQB-A0 platform as used in Volkswagen Taigun and siblings Skoda Kushaq. The Tera is expected to get a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine pumping around 116 horsepower. The transmission will be 6-speed manual or automatic.

The entry of Tera in India would allow Volkswagen to enter the sub-4m SUV space. The Tera will compete with popular models like Hyundai Venue and Tara Nexon.
