Zeno has launched its first electric motorcycle, the Emara, priced at ₹1.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The company is also offering a more affordable option through a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, priced at ₹79,000 (ex-showroom).
To encourage early adoption, Zeno is offering introductory pricing of ₹1 lakh for the first 5,000 bookings and ₹64,000 for the BaaS version.
The Emara boasts a robust design with a payload capacity of 250 kg, making it suitable for various uses. It is powered two 2kWh swappable lithium iron iron phosphate battery packs, each with a lifespan of over 3,000 charge cycles.
The Emara is the result of collaborative efforts from Zeno’s R&D teams in San Francisco and Bengaluru, with production taking place at a facility in Manesar, Haryana, capable of producing 600 units per month.
Zeno plans to kick-start its Indian retail operations in Bengaluru, aiming to establish six stores and at least 100 swap stations before deliveries commence.
