The capital of Australia, Canberra, hosts the ‘Summernats’ celebration for automobile enthusiasts in the country. From January 2 to 5, the Summernats 2025 Carnival was hosted in The Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) and this year was not different than usual. It had a fine blend of automotive creativity, horsepower, and lunacy.
The City Cruise: An Automated Episode
In 2019, Summernats provided almost a complete caravan of custom and classic cars riding around the streets Canberra from the different states. In this cycle, the parade featured more than 500 new participants joined that displayed muscle cars and famous pieces of automobile hot rods. People cheered, the engines blasted and the city became a massive moving car show.
Thrill Show Cars, and Burnouts
The real fun started after entering EPIC. Various drivers burning rubber and tires battling for the best position in the arena with deafening V8 sounds while paintings the arena with smoke. If you’ve never witnessed a burn-out battle, it’s pretty similar to firework shows, but instead of explosives and smoke, it’s replaced with fire and rubber!
For individuals that prefer less blazing, the Elite Hall provided the rest of the world and Australian best custom made pieces.
Each vehicle in this segment was a work of art, from their paint jobs to their breathtaking engine swaps. The level and attention paid to detail was beyond sophisticated.
