BGauss C12 MaxR is the latest electric scooter from the Indian EV manufacturer, featuring a 3.8 kWh LFP battery, 178 km IDC range, an integrated in-wheel motor system and a 75 km/h-plus top speed.

BGauss C12 MaxR Battery, Range and Performance

The BGauss C12 MaxR is equipped with a 3.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. According to the company, the scooter has an Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) certified range of 178 km on a single charge. Its electric powertrain develops 4.2 kW of peak output and enables a top speed of more than 75 km/h. The scooter is also rated with a gradeability of 18±2 degrees.

HyperZen In-Wheel Motor Technology

The C12 MaxR uses BGauss’ proprietary HyperZen in-wheel drive system. The platform integrates the motor, gear transmission, braking system and Motor Control Unit (MCU) within the wheel hub. This eliminates the need for a conventional external belt or chain drive arrangement.

Ride Modes and Convenience Features

The electric scooter offers three riding modes—Eco, Ride and Sport—to provide different performance characteristics. A reverse function and cruise control are also offered as standard equipment.

The C12 MaxR is equipped with a 5-inch TFT display and a range of practical features. These include under-seat storage designed to accommodate two helmets, a pop-out umbrella holder, dedicated phone and bottle compartments, and wireless smartphone charging.

BGauss C12 MaxR Suspension, Brakes and Wheels

The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Suspension duties are handled by a hydraulic telescopic fork at the front and a five-step adjustable Nitrox gas-charged unit at the rear. Braking hardware includes a 220 mm front disc, rear combi-braking and regenerative braking.

Ground Clearance and Payload

The C12 MaxR offers 160 mm of ground clearance and has a rated payload capacity of 150 kg, making it suited to everyday urban commuting and practical family use.

The electric scooter is available in four colour combinations: Sparkling Wine with Champagne Gold, Terra Green with Champagne Gold, Pearl White and Satin Black.
