A Fresh Addition at ₹1 Lakh
A Hero MotoCorp engrossing has a new single-seater variant of the popular Xtreme 125R, now priced attractively at a cool ₹1 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Lodged with some practicality in between the base split-seat IBS variant (₹98,425) and the top-spec split-seat ABS version (₹1.02 lakh), and this mid-spec variant holds value well.
Comfort-Oriented Pan-Type Seat
The key highlight of the single-seater variant is the pan-type seat for better comfort for both the rider as well as the pillion. Though it trades some of that sporty split-seat attitude, it’s a conscientious choice especially for those who ride with company more often than by themselves. Besides the seat, all else remains identical to what the other Xtreme 125R versions offer.
Proven Engine and Features
The bike still carries the well-known 124.7cc air-cooled engine churning out a respectable 11.4 bhp and 10.5 Nm of torque. The output is wheeled through a very smooth 5-speed gearbox, while the single-channel ABS and slab of safety are the same throughout the Xtreme range, yet the design remains youth-affirming with the sleeker LED headlamp and alloys.
Rivalry with TVS Raider 125
This new variant pushes the Hero brand closer in comparison with the TVS Raider 125, as the latter currently offers a single-seat version. Hence, the more options for the seat in an otherwise same model lineup would cater to otherwise different preferences of the rider without further complicating the model lineup.
A Balanced and Versatile Choice
In essence, this update only adds to the versatility of the Xtreme 125R as a sporty- yet-comfy-and-worth-buying package carved out a little more.
