BYD has made its premium electric SUV more accessible in India with the launch of the new Sealion 7 Dynamic. Priced at an introductory Rs 41.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the new variant becomes the entry point to the Sealion 7 range and sits below the Premium and Performance versions.
Battery, Range & Performance
The Sealion 7 Dynamic uses a 71.8kWh Blade Battery and offers a claimed NEDC range of up to 520km on a single charge. It can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.3 seconds. The SUV is based on BYD’s dedicated e-Platform 3.0 and uses Cell-to-Body technology and Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control.
Features & Exterior Colours
Despite being the entry-level variant, the Sealion 7 Dynamic retains several premium features, including a panoramic glass roof and rotating touchscreen infotainment display. It is available in Atlantis Grey, Cosmos Black, Aurora White and Shark Grey.

Under BYD India’s ongoing ‘Celebrate Your Dreams with BYD’ campaign, buyers of the Dynamic variant receive a complimentary 7kW home charger with installation, 10-year roadside assistance and an extended 10-year or 1,50,000km warranty on the low-voltage LFP battery.

The Dynamic variant changes the value proposition of the Sealion 7 by lowering its entry price while retaining the model’s key EV technology and premium character. For buyers who do not need the larger battery or the outright performance of the higher trims, the Dynamic could be the more sensible version to consider. Its 520km NEDC claim and 7.3-second acceleration figure give it a strong specification sheet, although actual range will vary with driving conditions.
