Bajaj Chetak

Originally slow to acquire traction upon its 2020 release, the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter has now ranked third in sales in India. New models, cost cuts, continuous improvement, and a growing network help to explain this achievement. Now, on December 20th, Bajaj is introducing a new-generation Chetak electric scooter.
Bajaj intends to present a totally new platform for the Chetak in the 2025 model. This fits their approach of ongoing development meant to raise competitiveness against rivals such as TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, and Ola S1. Among these rivals, several have useful traits such as more storage capacity. With the new Chetak model, Bajaj hopes to either match or surpass these offers.
Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter Characteristics
The future 2025 Chetak will have a brand-new, lighter-built chassis. This modification is supposed to improve range and performance as well. Bajaj wants to free up under the seat by moving the battery pack under the floorboard, therefore enhancing control and handling by lowering the centre of gravity. Cornering, rapid braking, acceleration, and low-speed manoeuvring will all gain from this change.
Apart from structural modifications, a better battery pack might be presented. Safety and improved energy economy could be features of this upgraded machine. On the new platform, customers may find better performance and range given a larger capacity battery pack. Claiming major improvements, the teaser for this model states it will be “the Best Chetak yet” and “Fully Lifeproof”.

Chetak’s market share in October 2024 was 20.29%, somewhat closely trailing TVS iQube’s 21.50%. Launched at a less price than its predecessors, the new Chetak might be more approachable. “2020 Bajaj Pulsar F250: No USD Forks, Priced Identical To The Pulsar N250”.

Variants and Design Notes
Although the new model year’s traditional design shape is mostly unaltered, the 2025 Chetak electric scooter can have some small cosmetic changes. New color choices may also be added to update its look even more. While keeping competitive advantages over other companies in India’s expanding electric vehicle market, Bajaj’s calculated actions with pricing and styling seek to make its electric scooters more appealing to consumers.
