Ultraviolette Automotive has introduced a new battery subscription model called Battery Flex for the Ultraviolette X-47. The company launched this Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme in partnership with Ecofy. The new model significantly reduces the upfront purchase price of the electric motorcycle. With Battery Flex, customers can buy the bike at a much lower cost and subscribe to the battery separately.
Lower Purchase Price with BaaS Model
Under the Battery Flex BaaS plan, the price of the Ultraviolette X-47 starts at Rs 1.49 lakh. This is a major reduction compared to its original starting price of Rs 2.5 lakh.By separating the battery cost from the vehicle price, Ultraviolette has lowered the entry barrier for buyers. The company claims the model reduces the initial purchase cost by nearly 40 percent, making the motorcycle accessible to more customers.
Battery Subscription at Rs 2,499 Per Month

Customers who choose the Battery Flex plan must subscribe to the battery separately. The subscription price starts at Rs 2,499 per month. This payment works like an EMI and continues for five years. The subscription structure spreads the battery cost across the tenure, helping buyers avoid a large upfront payment.
Five-Year Battery Warranty
Ultraviolette also offers a five-year warranty on the battery under the subscription model. This provides long-term reliability and peace of mind for customers. The monthly payment includes the battery usage cost while keeping the vehicle purchase price lower.
Partnership with Ecofy for Battery Financing
To implement the BaaS model, Ultraviolette Automotive partnered with Ecofy. Ecofy is a green-focused non-banking financial company (NBFC) that supports sustainable mobility solutions.Through this collaboration, customers can easily finance the battery subscription and pay through structured monthly instalments.

Making Electric Motorcycles More Affordable
With the Battery Flex program, Ultraviolette aims to make electric motorcycles more affordable. By reducing the upfront cost and spreading battery payments over time, the company hopes to attract a wider range of buyers to electric mobility.
