Originally shown in October, the updated Speed Twin 900 is now on sale in India for Rs 8.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The engine has stayed essentially identical, while the bike has had significant hardware and appearance changes.
The new bike comes with a USD fork with a radial front calliper, the same circular display as the Trident 660, and three colour variants.
The 5-speed transmission remains while the 900cc parallel-twin engine generates the same 65hp and 80 Nm as before. Nowadays, this engine complies with the most current Euro 5+ criteria.
The Speed Twin 900 stands out from the preceding generation, mostly in terms of appearance. This looks more like the Speed Twin 1200 today and has a far simpler design with more blacked-out elements. Additionally included in the 2025 bike are a non-adjustable Marzocchi USD front fork and a radial calliper branded under Triumph-built J. Juan.
Although the seat height of the Speed Twin 900 has been raised to 780mm (from 765mm), it might be lowered to 760mm depending on the aftermarket low seat. Instead of the single-pod digital analogues, the same TFT device featured on the larger 1200 models has taken place.
Additionally shared the switchgear are parts from the more powerful Speed Twin variants. Together with cornering ABS and traction control, the electronics package provides two riding modes: road and rain.
There are three colours for the Speed Twin 900; deliveries are set for January 2025. With an asking price of Rs 8.89 lakh, the most affordable Triumph modern classic has dropped Rs 40,000.
