Top-spec dealers tell us Kia Syros would be priced at roughly Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
Now accessible for bookings before its February 1 pricing release is the Kia Syros SUV. The Syros booking amount is Rs 25,000; consumers may reserve their SUV at the dealerships or on the Kia India website.
Syros deliveries begin mid-February; customer test drives probably start the end of January; get petrol and diesel engine options—Kia Syros test drives to start early next month.
On January 17, the Syros will first publicly appear at the Bharat Mobility Show in New Delhi. Just around its introduction, it will begin to reach local Kia dealerships in the latter week of January or early February. Dealers inform us that customer test drives will also start at about the same time. Deliveries for the Syros should begin in mid-February.
Gwanggu Lee, MD and CEO of Kia India, underlined the value of cabin room over outward appearance during the Syros’ worldwide premiere. With a length of less than four meters, the Syros qualifies for the tax advantages shared other small SUVs in its category. Still, the tall boy design is mostly supposed to be practical and inside-space-oriented.
The Syros has a longer wheelbase than the Sonet, which is higher and wider. Actually, the class-leading rear-seat room is similar to the bigger and more costly Seltos. Its utility is further enhanced the big boot, which at 465 litres represents 20 percent more than the Sonet.
The Syros will be offered in six trims and with two engine choices. Whereas the diesel option comes with a 1.5-litre unit suitable for 116 hp and 250 Nm, the petrol variant has a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 120 hp and 172 Nm of torque. Standard on both engine choices is a 6-speed manual transmission; the petrol variant has a 7-speed DCT auto option, and the diesel variant has a 6-speed torque converter auto option.
Higher variants of the Syros will get 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone interiors, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, dual 12-3-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation, an 8-speaker sound system, front and rear ventilated seats, wireless charging, powered driver seats, a 360-degree camera, a blind spot monitor, and level 2 ADAS tech on the features front. The Syros will compete with the long list of small SUVs comprising the recently unveiled Skoda Kylaq, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and others.
